Hamilton Station Mural.

Commission to paint an abstract mural on the corner of Fern and Beaumont Street in Islington.

A consistent presence was applied to match the overall building design and style from the period it was built. The concept needed to be accepted by the community and work well in its environment in place of the faded paint that was there.

Clean abstract lines depicting the shape of the architecture formed various letters to spell out the name of the suburb. Angles which already existed on the building surface were used to assist with the murals form.

The colours were chosen to represent the surrounding environment while flat and textured segments were painted to add depth around the abstract letter shapes.
